The Arlington Central School District is located in the Hudson Valley, 70 miles north of New York City and 70 miles south of Albany. The area served by the school district is primarily suburban, encompassing 114 square miles. The educational system serves over 10,000 students in thirteen school buildings. Construction of the newly-expanded high school designed to serve 3,400 students was opened in 1998. A new middle school and a new elementary school were opened in September of 2004. The service sector, including education and government, is a major employer of district residents. Nearby State parks, mountains, lakes and historical sites make the Arlington area a desirable community in which to work and live.
The Arlington Central School District does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, creed, disability, marital status, veteran status, national origin, race, gender, genetic predisposition or carrier status, or sexual orientation in its educational programs, services, and activities.
